Key Personnel

Douglas M Chartier is an ACS (American Chemical Society) certified chemist. He has over 34 years experience in detecting, monitoring and mitigation of microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) within oil, natural gas and other industrial operations (fire sprinkler industry, process water, nuclear power, marine, cooling towers, etc.). Doug has worked in drilling to stimulation,  production, pipelines, refineries, and finally to the transportation of petro-chemicals and oil & gas. He likes to think that we are different from other laboratories as we have, "Hands on" knowledge and experience. We do not mind getting our hands dirty and enjoy working in the field (as well as in the laboratory) to analyze and solve your corrosion problems. 

Doug has learned most of what he knows from field to laboratory experience. Doug holds 2 patents on environmentally friendly, non-hazardous MIC corrosion mitigation chemicals and has 3 patents pending on new technology, two on the "MIC-Pig" and "Blutube" for sampling of MIC bacteria within pipelines and tanks, FPS and the marine industry; plus one new corrosion coating formulation. He has written many technical articles and is well published in industrial publications. 

Doug is very familiar with the current marketplace for monitoring, mitigation and remediation products for protection of your assets. He offers you a comparison of products that are on the open market and helps you with the design and implementation of your corrosion program. He performs audits of your current corrosion mitigation and chemical programs to see if they are providing adequate protection.
