 Corrosion in FPS

Corrosion in fire sprinkler systems can cause fouling of sprinkler heads, pin-hole leaks, black & red water, offensive smells and integrity loss of the system. Lives and property are in danger when the system does not operate correctly. NFPA 13 & NFPA 25 have included MIC (Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion) in their codes by stating that the water to be used in a fire sprinkler system must be tested for MIC (NFPA 13) and that sludge and deposits must be analyzed during the 5-year inspection (NFPA 25).

MIC Corrosion Tek's personnel has been evaluating MIC and oxygen corrosion in industry for over 34-years. They have over 17-years in evaluating MIC and oxygen corrosion in wet, dry and pre-action fire sprinkler systems. We are an objective laboratory with honest results, as we have no products (besides analysis) that we offer for sale to you. We do offer recommendations; but only for products that have a specific function to monitor and mitigate your particular problem--not one companies products. Also, we offer consultation on monitoring and mitigation of your particular corrosion problem.

MIC Corrosion Tek has recently introduced a new, patent pending MIC corrosion and general corrosion analysis we call the "Blutube". We offer water analysis (NFPA 13), sludge and deposit analysis, pipe analysis and air and nitrogen analysis for MIC bacteria within dry and pre-action systems.

We are the only laboratory in the fire sprinkler industry that analyzes MIC bacteria in air and nitrogen systems for MIC bacteria (patent pending). We believe this is important as you can determine if your air in a dry system is contaminated with MIC bacteria, as well as nitrogen if you have a nitrogen system.

Please go to http://mic-tek.com/fire_sprinkler_industry for individual analysis, description, ordering information and secure ordering.

We believe you will find MIC Corrosion Tek the most reasonably priced, objective and informative source for corrosion testing in fire sprinkler systems.

Thank you for your time & consideration. Please contact us with any questions or comments you may have. . .
