DNA analysis:  This is a test to determine both live and dead bacterium presence in totality. The test is very useful to determine the effectiveness of MIC bacteria mitigation programs. By comparing the MPN of live bacteria through culturing to the totality of the summation of MIC bacteria alive and dead; one is able to determine the effectiveness of biocides and other treatments for MIC corrosion.
