MIC Corrosion Tek offers pipe analysis for corroded pipe. This is probably the most important analysis to be performed, if you have to choose only one. Analysis of pipe and pipe samples contain the bacteria that are actually causing the corrosion to occur. These bacteria are called "Sessile Bacteria" and live within the pipe wall.  The sessile bacteria have already started the MIC corrosion process and this is why their presence is so important. However, you should also analysis the populations of the MIC bacteria in the fluid being conveyed (planktonic) as they probably will become sessile.

MIC Corrosion Tek offers microbiological analysis of pipe samples to determine the type of MIC bacteria, which may be present.  This information is vital to determine what type of corrosion process is occurring and how it may be mitigated.

Please ship the sample within 24 hours after the sample is isolated.  Please refrain from shipping over a 10" long pipe and ship a small  length cutting (6") of the pipe, if  the piping diameter is larger than 6". The laboratory testing takes ~15 days and comes with a written report.
