MIC Corrosion Tek works with Risk Management firms to determine the health, safety and asset protection of facilities. MIC corrosion is seldom in eyes view and once it is, extreme damage to the integrity of the asset may have already occurred. MIC corrosion causes pin-hole leaks in piping and multi-million dollar damages have resulted due to this condition. Structural failure may also occur due to MIC.
Health & Safety issues are of a concern when MIC corrosion occurs. MIC corrosion's by-products may contain poisonous gases (H2S) which may be in contact with personnel and the public. Treatment chemicals for MIC corrosion may contain registered poisons (Biocides) which not only kill the bacteria; but are of a health risk for the public and personnel.
